Norges Bank Investment Management is seeking a dedicated team player for the Risk Measurement department, part of the Investment Risk area.
Do you want to join a high-performing risk department that is responsible for analysing and managing investment risks and performance of the Norwegian oil fund? The Risk Measurement department measure, monitor and communicates the fund’s market, credit and counterparty risk in addition to the return and performance of the fund. We are now looking for a Credit Risk Analyst to join the Risk Measurement department. You will get a unique insight into the fund’s investments, financial instruments and markets and work with other subject matter experts from areas such as Technology and Operation, Market Strategies and Active Strategies in Norges Bank Investment Management.

The position is located in Oslo and reports to the Head of Credit and Counterparty Risk Measurement within the Risk Measurement department, a 5-people team within the Investment Risk area.

What you will do

  • Further develop and utilise our risk models used for credit and counterparty risk analysis in the fund

  • Leverage our technology stack including AI, Snowflake, Python, SQL, and data tools to improve existing credit and counterparty risk processes or innovate new solutions

  • Analysing and monitoring the credit quality of NBIM counterparties, such as large global banks and broker dealers, and participate in due diligence counterparty risk assessments of unlisted investments

  • Continuously improve our tools and analysis capabilities

What you need

  • Strong interest in finance, asset management and investment risk management

  • Experience from processing and analysing data and programming (preferably using Python and AI)

  • 3-6 years relevant working experience

  • University degree with strong academic performance; a combination of finance and programming is a distinct advantage

  • Proficient in English - written and spoken
